Pride and Prejudice is a humorous story of love and life among English gentility during the Georgian era.

Mr Bennet is an English gentleman living in Hartfordshire with his overbearing wife. The Bennets 5 daughters; the beautiful Jane, the clever Elizabeth, the bookish Mary, the immature Kitty and the wild Lydia.

Unfortunately for the Bennets, if Mr Bennet dies their house will be inherited by a distant cousin whom they have never met, so the family's future happiness and security is dependent on the daughters making good marriages.

Life is uneventful until the arrival in the neighborhood of the rich gentleman Mr Bingley, who rents a large house so he can spend the summer in the country. Mr Bingley brings with him his sister and the dashing (and richer) but proud Mr Darcy.

Love is soon in the air for one of the Bennet sisters, while another may have jumped to a hasty prejudgment.

For the Bennet sisters many trials and tribulations stand between them and their happiness, including class, gossip and scandal.
This is my "Favorite Romantic Movie".

Memorable Experience Watching a Top Romantic Movie

"DILWALE DULHANIYA LEE JAYENGE"

This wonderfully striking romantic Hindi movie that is one of my favorites. I have seen it more than 25 times and still long to see whenever I get a chance.

This movie was released a few days after my engagement. This is one of the top romantic movies that has been released.I went to watch the movie with my would-be hubby in the theater and it was a very pleasing experience.

The lead role was played by actor Shahrukh Khan and actress Kajol. The theme is that somewhere somebody down the line is there waiting for your love.

Both of the characters meet in a Euro rail trip and hate each other at the first sight. Destiny has other plans for them. They miss the train during the trip and are at loggerheads blaming each other.

Throughout the trip the boy loves but fails to express his love when the girl tells that she is already engaged. Both return from the trip and go back to their respective homes. Then the girl realizes that she has already met her charming prince on the trip.

It is a theatrical movie with lots of romantic songs, comedy and fun. The scenes are so beautifully portrayed that I felt it for real and cried in scenes where the girl longs for her love.

Still to date, my husband pulls my leg as to how involved I was while watching the movie that I was crying watching a top romantic movie.

Dear John

This movie reminds me so much of my boyfriend. Except the fact he is on a mission and not in the military. The moon is a symbol of our love for each other and it reminds me of his and us!

Kate and Leopold : Love With No Boundaries.

I have been married for the last five years and it was an arranged marriage. So, the romance factor and the love came in a bit later in our lives - that's after we started knowing each other.

My husband is a total man, as in interested in soccer and action movies and sports, so for us spending time together on anything of my interest was minimal and even when he would take the effort of sitting through a romantic movie with me, he would end up sleeping in between.

But one day, sorry, one blessed day, there was this movie 'Kate & Leopold' playing on HBO. I love the movie and so I was watching it for the third time and enjoying every moment of it, not realizing that my husband had cuddled next to me on the couch and even he was watching the movie.

Then seeing that he was liking what he was seeing, I told him about the part that he had missed and we continued there on.

And praise the Lord, that ended up being the first romantic movie my husband had ever seen with me without falling asleep. I was so glad. And this is why this movie means so much to me.

If it can touch my hubby somewhere, then it can do wonders for any couple at all. The characters are so wonderful and so aptly presented according to the era that they reflect.

The chivalry in men that seems to have been lost over the years lights up again in this movie. You can only relate to the charm of a man getting up while the lady is being seated when you actually see it happening and there are no two ways about that.

Each gesture, each move is so beautifully captured and presented, it feels like falling in love once again. Hence, Kate & Leopold is my favorite romantic movie, as it helped my love life to rejuvenate and also once in a while, get me early breakfast in bed. :) A 'must' watch, in case you've missed.

'P.S. I Love You' is 2007 romantic film in which the main protagonists, Holly and Gerry, are a married couple and are having a peaceful and happy life.

In spite of the excessive emotional attachments between them, there used to be small minor spats and quarrels between them.

After the sad demise of Gerry, Holly started missing him and gradually realized that their fights were totally redundant. She detaches herself from the world and quits her social life too.

On her 30th birthday, her family and friends come over to her place for celebration. Just then a cake is delivered for him, and they all learn that it was Gerry who had made necessary arrangements for arranging the cake for Holly’s birthday, along with a message containing ‘P.S. I Love You’.

Her mother, Patrice, along with her friends Denise and Sharon were of the opinion that Holly would never be able to get out of the past if she keeps on receiving those gifts and letters already arranged by Gerry.

So they arrange her to meet William, who starts reminding her of Gerry. Suddenly the news of the pregnancy of Sharon and the engagement of Denise shatter Holly completely and she cuts herself off from the world yet again.

With the passage of time, she indulges into fashion designing and falls on the path of emotional recovery. Once on the course of a walk with her mother, Patrice discloses to her that it was her who had been sending her all the letters of Gerry after he died.

Finally she goes to Ireland and determines the course of the rest of her life, leaving the audience in some kind of suspense.

A Drama of Epic Proportions and Epic Catastrophe

My top romantic movie is Titanic. My husband and I love to watch it together when are spending a lazy day at home.

I still remember seeing it in the theater when it first came out, back when I was only thirteen. I ended up returning to see it another seven times before they stopped showing it.

I reserved a copy before it was released on VHS, and later bought the DVD too. It makes me cry every time! The setting is very elaborate and really makes you feel like you are seeing things as they may have happened in that time period.

The two main characters are very believable and seem to have very real chemistry on the set, while still managing to be somewhat innocent.

I love the score for this film too, it is very effective and setting the appropriate mood and really fits well with the overall atmosphere.

Titanic is a classic. It makes you forget that the story only takes place over a few days, during which the characters fall in love and go against what is expected of them. It is the most beautiful and tragic film I've seen in my entire life.

The Twilight Saga

It was a weekend and I saw the romantic movie "The Apartment" with my husband. He had ordered it specially for me, but I didn’t really know about it.

The story evolves around the main two characters, the realization, and the last final step that she took when she realized her true love was the most splendid part of the movie.

The movie grew on me so beautifully that even today after over a year of seeing it I can vividly remember most of the film.

The two common characters appealed to me too. This movie relates a lot to real life - dealing with obstacles with love prevailing eventually. It has office politics, drama, and romance. It is a top romantic movie for me.

The Notebook

The movie The Notebook is by far the most romantic movie that I have ever seen. From the very beginning to the very end it truly tells a classic love story.

This particular movie portrays the positive and negative sides of any relationship so that you really feel like it is a true story of true love.

When I watch this movie it makes me feel thankful that I have a relationship like the one portrayed in this movie. The characters are so in love and they have so much fun together.

They also have barriers to overcome as any relationship does. This is probably what makes the movie seem so romantic, because it has such a real feel to it. You can actually place yourself in the shoes of the characters and experience those romantic feelings yourself.

My favorite part, of course, is the end when you find out that the narrator is the main character of the story the whole time. Then, the couple dies at the same time.

This is a true love story. It makes you feel like the couple was really meant to be and it really makes viewers of the movie want to strive for that!

Jerry McGuire

Jerry McGuire - To me this is a top romantic movie. I think Tom Cruise does an excellent acting job as well as Cuba Gooding Jr.

The ending of this movie will bring anybody into tears that can not be controlled.

"Shut up! You had me at hello" will always be a line I will remember. I watch this movie a lot just to see and hear that ending.

I believe the whole movie is touching. About a football player who gets no love but does in the end. What more can anyone ask for in a movie?

The Movie that Changed the Way I Look at LOVE

This movie was a accident for me and I wanted to watch something else. I never thought it would changed the way I think of LOVE, but it did.

This movie - shot in US - is about a angel who falls from heaven just for the sake of a clean hearted girl in New York.

She works as a doctor and is very clean and pure by heart. She has her own reasons for crying which are no way connected to her personal things but always for the patients she cares for.

One day she operates on a patient who does not make it and and she feels personally responsible for the event and cries>

Looking at her are a bunch of angels who also live in the same city. One of them is very interested and he follows her just to find how good she was.

He decides to take that fall just for her and he does, and comes to her as a human. After that what happens is the crux of the movie and I would seriously recommend it to my friends. The name of the Movie is CITY OF ANGELS
